<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the destruction of a display element and the damage of an IC card when the IC card is inserted in a card reader by arranging the surface of the display element to the interior lower than the surface of the framework forming the outer shape of the IC card. CONSTITUTION:An IC card consists of a memory and logic element 1, a display element 2, the film 3 bonded to the surface of the card and the framework 4 forming the outer shape of the card and the display element 2 is incorporated in the framework 4 forming the outer shape of the card so that the surface thereof is lower than the surface of the framework 3. Therefore, when the IC card is inserted in a card reader, external force is applied only to the framework 4 forming the outer shape of the card and no external force is applied to the display element 2 and, therefore, the damage of the IC card can be prevented.</p> |
