A coin dispensing apparatus comprising a hopper (37) for holding a supply of coins in bulk, a rotary disc (1) rotatably disposed at one side within the hopper at an angle to the horizontal, a carrier (2) being rotatable in a plane extending at an angle to the rotary disc (1) and a plurality of coin transporting pins (30) and coin agitating pins (3) carried on the carrier (2) and protruded from the surface of the rotary disc through pin receiving holes (32,4) in the rotary disc.
