A corrosion resistant copper alloy, for piping, containers or the like for flowing media (esp. hot and cold water pipes), contains (by wt.) 0.1-6% total Al and/or Si, 0.1-2% total Ti and/or Nb, 0.04-0.1% total As and/or P, 0.1-8% total Ni and/or Cr and 0.1-0.5% total Ge and/or Ga. Pref. the alloy has the compsn. 0.1-3% total Al and/or Si, 0.1-0.5% Ti and/or Nb, 0.04-0.1% total As and/or P, 0.1-4% Ni and/or Cr, 0.1-0.2% total Ge and/or Ga and balance Cu. When the alloy is to be cold worked, it is free of P.
