The heat-retaining layer (3) has at least one open spot (4) leaving the magnetic side (2) applied to the patient's body exposed. The open space(s) are formed by stamping. The heat storing layer can be formed from cotton and/or plastics tissue material in combination with open or closed porous foam material. The side (5) of the magnet facing away from the patient has a heat blocking layer or foil. The round or rectangular magnet has a thickness of 0.3 to 5mm. ADVANTAGE - Despite induction-reducing air-gap achieves not only high surface induction but also, suiting application, high induction in defined depth of tissue.
