The gas range controller generates an alarm signal when cooking is finished or requlates flame when the cooking temperature has to be lowered. The controller comprises a temperature sensing rod (6) directly inserted into the food, temperature sensing elements (7,10) within the rod (6) switching according to the food temperature, a control knob (9), positioned at one end of the rod (6), for setting a reference temperature, a thermostat (1) connected in series to the temperature sensing elements (7,10), and a magnetic power unit (MG) coil for actuating a gas valve (3) corresponding to the reference temperature set at the control knob (9).
