<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the operation of a multimounter and prevent the damage to a resistor thin film by making a cross-sectional shape in a columnar body of a regular polygon, and performing trimming before an electrode is formed. CONSTITUTION:Ceramic material which has not yet been sintered is subjected to protrusion molding with a die or the like, and formed in a rod type whose cross-section is a regular polygon, which is divided into segments having a specified size. After that, ceramic base bodies 11 are formed by sintering. A thin resistor film body 23 is formed on the side surface 26 of the base body 11 by vapor deposition or sputtering of nickel chrome alloy. Since the nickel chrome alloy attaches on end surfaces 25 and end edges 27, an electrode is made to abut against the end surface 25, and the resistance value of the thin film body 23 is measured. While measuring the resistance, trimming is performed for correction to obtain a right value. After the end surfaces 25 and the end edges 27 are plated with nickel, and sheath coating is finished, electrode parts 24 are solder-plated. Thereby simple operation is enabled independently of the direction of a chip resistor 21, and the damage to the electrode part to be caused by chucking can be prevented.</p> |
