<p>PURPOSE:To dispense with any servo system with a feedback loop and thereby reduce the cost of production by addressing torque and temperature in a motor and voltage of a battery respectively, and reading the stored motor current value, thereby driving and controlling the motor. CONSTITUTION:Torque in a steering wheel being driven by a motor 2 is detected by a torque sensor 4, and this detected signal is fed to a control circuit 8. At this circuit 8, a power relay 10 is turned ON on the basis of the torque detected signal, and voltage is given to a drive circuit 14 from a battery 12. In addition, temperature in the motor 2 and voltage of the battery 12 are detected by each of detectors 16T, 16V, and these detected signals are fed to the control circuit 8. Moreover, at a random access memory 20, each value corresponding to motor torque, motor temperature and battery voltage is addressed, whereby a motor current value required for generating the pertinent motor torque at time of the corresponding motor temperature and battery voltage is stored in memory.</p> |
