<p>The present invention relates to a thrust assembly of the type comprising, for the pull action of a release bearing (10) on the diaphragm spring (20) of a clutch, on the one hand a thrust piece (30) having a collar (31) and a sleeve (33) and, on the other hand, extending in an annular manner inside the said sleeve (33) of the said thrust piece (30), a coupling ring (40) held axially during assembly by a catch engagement of the release bearing (10) on the thrust piece (30) by a cage (67) formed axially between the sleeve (33) of the thrust piece (30) and a retaining piece (60). The said collar (31) has a rim (32) having an overall V-shaped cross-section. According to the invention, a thrust assembly of the type mentioned above is characterised in that the retaining plate (60) is crimped onto the thrust piece (30), using notches (62), extending radially beyond the rim (32) of the thrust piece (30), in the peripheral emerging part of the latter.
