<p>PURPOSE:To feed sheets by hands at a limited space and in an easy posture by arranging a sheet feed roller facing a lower sheet discharge roller and locating a sheet discharge tray in a manner to be switchable between sheet receiving orientation and sheet feed orientation. CONSTITUTION:When sheet feed orientation B of a sheet discharge tray 11 is detected by a first sensor 27, an electromagnet 32 is magnetized, and a magnetic body 31 is attracted to hold orientation B. When a sheet is inserted in a manual insertion sheet feed part 19, the tip of the sheet is detected by a second sensor 28 to drive sheet discharge rollers 12 and 13 and a sheet feed roller 18, and the sheet is fed to a sheet feed route 20. After the rear end of the sheet is detected by the second sensor 28, the electromagnet 32 is demagnetized, and the sheet discharge tray 11 is automatically switched to sheet receiving orientation A. The sheet after formation of a picture is discharged on the sheet discharge tray 11 the orientation A of which is held through attraction by a permanent magnet 30 and a magnetic substance 29. This constitution reduces the installation area of a device and improves manual insertion sheet feeding workability.</p> |
