A silicone rubber composition which comprises an organopolysiloxane, a finely divided silica filler, and optionally an organosilicon compound having at least one 3BOND SiH bond in the molecule is described. When an organic peroxide of the following general formula <IMAGE> wherein n is an integer of from 2 to 8, and R2 and R3 are independently a monovalent hydrocarbon group having from 3 to 10 carbon atoms or a group of the formula, Si(R4)3, wherein R4 represents a group selected from a methyl group, an ethyl group and a phenyl group, is added, surface tackiness and physical properties are remarkably improved.
