Prodn. of a T-shaped branch tube made of rubber with a material insert, includes pushing a material reinforced tubular section with a widened end, onto the lower end of the branch tube, so that the lower end is spaced apart from the main tube. The rubber section of the sleeve is injection moulded, and part of the tube is folded. After vulcanisation, a solid connection is formed with the branch region. ADVANTAGE - The process is simple and the branch section is resistant to leakages.
