The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for massaging the back side of one's own body. A massaging body (6) is arranged rotatably around shaft means (8). Guiding means (7) are arranged at at least one end of said shaft means (8) for selective setting the position and direction of said shaft means (8) in relation to one's back plane (2). With the aid of said guiding means (7) said massage body (6) is positioned between one's back plane (2) and a wall and is directed for rotation in a desired direction, whereafter said back plane (2) under pressure is moved in the tangential plane of said massaging body (6). Said massaging body (6), which preferably interchangeable, is suitably a rotational body comprising a harder core and a softer surface layer. |
