<p>A container (20) for granular materials, and a blank for forming the container, comprising a top wall (26), a back wall (28), a bottom wall (30), a front wall (32) and two end walls. The front wall has inner and outer layers. The outer layer has a transverse tear strip (56) and is attached to the inner layer below this tear strip. A flap (58) is glued to the interior of the top wall and attached to the top edge of the front wall inner layer along a perforated line (60), to prevent the granular material from migrating between the front wall layer. Each end wall has several layers, two of which are main layers. A tear strip panel extension (46, 47) is attached to the main layers below the tear strip. An ear (48, 49), which is attached to the tear strip panel extension and top wall, prevents the granular material from migrating between the tear strip panel extension and main panels.</p> |
