The ink reservoir comprises a housing (3) containing a number of flexible ink bags, stacked one on top of the other. Each ink bag has a length which is several times the length of the housing (3) and is folded over one or more times, with fold zones formed between each 2 adjacent sections (13,14) of the ink bag, allowing the successive sections (13,14) to lie flat, one on top of the other. The first section (14) of the ink bag has a notch extending inwards at its centre from its front edge, allowing the ink to be distributed to either side. ADVANTAGE - Effective utilisation of full vol. of housing.
