The horizontally reciprocating ram (4) is supported during operation by angled support rollers runs on similarly angled planar surfaces runs longitudinally along the ram. The wieght of the ram rogether with the angular relationship of the surfaces and rollers combine to restrain the ram to a fixed horizontal path during its reciprocal movement. Spring loaded rollers (38,40) run on ta third planar surface (72) on the ram and apply an additional force to ensure the rolling relationship between the planar surfaces of the ram and the rollers. A rope packing strip (74) in the holder (76) helps dampen vibrations generated by the high speed reciprocations of the ram.
