PURPOSE:To provide the above display device which withstands the various environments to which the device is subjected from a vehicle and to eliminate the need for a space to be packaged on the vehicle by providing a case which holds a back light for irradiating a liquid crystal panel from a rear and a supporting means which freely openably and closably supports a frame body and exposing the rear of the liquid crystal panel. CONSTITUTION:The frame body 1 is mounted to an internal partition wall 8 by means of supporting fittings 34 fixed to an revolving shaft 33 and an internal partition wall 8 and is constitute freely openably and closably to the case 2. The liquid crystal panel 6 is fixed to the frame body 1 and a filter 18 is fixed to the front surface thereof. On the other hand, the internal partition wall 8 is fixed to the case 2 and the back light 7 is fixed to this internal partition wall 8. If the surface of the liquid crystal panel is stuck with dirt by the dust generated in a vehicle room, the rear of the liquid crystal panel 6 is exposed by opening the case 2 and is wiped, by which the dirt is removed. The considerations to the various environments to which the display device is subjected from the vehicle and the limitation on the packaging on the vehicle are eliminated.
