PURPOSE:To generate a message without adding an LSI for sound synthesization, etc., and to miniaturize a portable radio equipment saving the power by storing the encoded data of the sound message into a microcomputer in advance, and decoding the encoded data from a digital signal processor to process transmitted/received signals or from the microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 11 to execute the control of the entire compact radio equipment stores the encoded data for generating the sound message in advance and when a sound message output instruction is inputted from an external part, the encoded data of the sound message are sent out by a serial data FRT. Then, a digital signal processor 14 to process the transmitted/received signals decodes the encoded data from the microcomputer 11. Thus, the sound message can be generated without adding the LSI for sound synthesization, etc., the radio equipment can be made compact and the power can be saved. |
