The invention relates to a mechanical actuator. The actuator according to the invention is characterised in that it comprises a carriage (1) sliding or pivoting along a first spindle (2) and carrying a second spindle (3) sliding with respect to the said carriage (1) orthogonally to the first spindle (2), the said second spindle (3) carrying a first roller, rolling in a cam path (8), and a second, coaxial, roller sliding in an axial slot (10) of a lever (11), the said lever (11) being secured to a first wheel (12) connected to a second wheel (14) by a synchronous transmission (13), the said second wheel (14) carrying a shaft (5) parallel to the said first spindle (2) and driven by a connecting rod (16)/crank (18) system driven by a motor (19).
