PURPOSE:To uniformly sterilize the whole bean curd refuse without changing the physical properties of bean curd refuse or lowering the drying efficiency by blasting steam into bean curd refuse, mixing the bean curd refuse and steam to effect uniform contact of both components and retaining the mixture in a holding tube. CONSTITUTION:Wet bean curd refuse is dehydrated by a dehydration apparatus and supplied to an injector with a pump. Simultaneous to the supply of the bean curd refuse to the injector, the bean curd refuse is exposed to hot steam, uniformly mixed with the hot steam by baffle plates in a static mixer and introduced into a holding tube. The residence time of the bean curd refuse in the holding tube is preferably >=5sec. When the time is shorter than 5sec, sufficient heating and sterilization cannot be performed. The volume ratio of the bean curd refuse in the holding tube to the capacity of the holding tube is adjusted to <=0.25. When the ratio is >=0.25, the particle diameter of the granular bean curd refuse increases to impede uniform heating of bean curd refuse. |
