The precision adjustment facility is provided for a reflecting surface, e.g. mirror, used in a gas laser. The mirror (4) is inset into a carrier (6) that can be tilted using adjusting screws (20). The underside of the carrier is supported by a flexible bellows (18) that is mounted on a main fixed body (16). Inset into the body is a threaded carrier (11) that provides a reaction element for the ring (7) coupled (9) to the mirror carrier. ADVANTAGE - Allows coaxial and radial adjustment of mirror.
