摘要 A power supply element is produced by filling the space between the conductor and outer shell with a powered ceramic insulating material to form an insulating jacket, mechanically compressing the material and then explosively compressing the conductor, powder and outer shell with an outer radially arranged explosive charge. An axial opening can be used as an inner conductor. In the opening of the inner conductor, an axial core, removable after explosive compression, can be used and forms an intermediate space for the powdered material, pref. a superconductor of formula YBa2Cu307. A rod-shaped element is formed from conductor, insulating jacket and outer shell. Before forming the superconductor the conductor and outer shell have depressions or ridges on its boundary layer. The element is sealed at one of its ends. A conductor having cooling channels is used. ADVANTAGE - Considerably improved sealing in the axial direction of the element is achieved.
