PURPOSE: To improve efficiency of a gas cylinder charging method by providing a tube penetrating in the lengthwise direction of a cylinder shell to release gas nearby the bottom wall of a cylinder, and providing holes on the tube to perfectly mix gases over two sorts. CONSTITUTION: This cylinder 1 is provided with a cylinder shell 11, and a valve means 2 on the neck part 12 of the cylinder shell 11. Further, a tube 3 penetrating in the major part in the lengthwise direction of the cylinder shell 11 is provided and it is communicated with the valve means 2 and the interior of the cylinder shell 11. Gas to be mixed is led through the valve means 2 and the tube 3 released from the end part 6 of the tube 3 toward the bottom wall 13 of the cylinder shell 11, and brought in contact with the bottom wall 13 to become a turbulent flow. Already existing gas in the interior 14 of the cylinder shell enters the tube 3 through holes 4 formed on the tube 3 by pressure difference, and released again from the end part 6 to become a turbulent flow. In this way, gases over two of different content are efficiently mixed together without forming layers at charging.
