Salt derivatives of non-steroid anti-inflammatory compounds having the general formula: <IMAGE> where: when R1 = H R = a 1,8-diethyl-1,3,4,9-tetrahydropyran- [3,4-b] indol-1-acetic acid residue, R1 = CH<3> R = delta-2-(6-methoxy-2-naphthyl) propionic acid residue, R1 = CH<3> R = 2-(4-isobutylphenyl) propionic acid residue, R1 = CH<3> R = 2-(3-benzoylphenyl) propionic acid residue [X] always represents an inorganic ion or an organic base selected from sodium, potassium, tetrahydro-1,4-oxazine (morpholine), the sodium salt of (carboxymethyl) trimethyl ammonium hydroxide (betaine), are soluble to permit administration for treatment of acute symptomatic forms of inflammation and the preparation of controlled-release pharmaceutical forms. |
