The use of waste tyres in cementmaking furnaces as an incorporated fuel has resulted in a number of adverse implications and has given rise to the need for "plants dedicated to the combustion of tyres" such as that described in this industrial invention. The features which characterise it are: - combustion of the tyres in a rotary furnace, - use of high temperature tertiary air, - a damper to control the final gas temperature, - a further two dampers isolating the furnace from the cement process. The benefits which can be obtained are: complete combustion of the tyres without pockets of CO, no pressure and temperature pulsations in the cement furnace, correct and controlled disposal of the tyres. The invention described is also suitable for wastes similar to tyres and where hot air at at least 450 degrees is available. Tertiary air duct <IMAGE> |
