LUBRICATION SYSTEM FOR A TURBO CHARGER

The sliding bearings of an exhaust gas turbocharger are lubricated with water, preferably from the cooling water circuit of an internal-combustion engine connected thereto. A pump wheel to propel the cooling water is arranged between the turbine and the compressor on the turbocharger shaft. This arrangement allows a load-independent coolant supply to be achieved.
