<p>PURPOSE:To accomplish the mass production in high yield of the title culture medium suitable for the mass production of lavender cells and the pigment therefrom by incorporating a culture medium with 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid as plant growth regulatory substance. CONSTITUTION:The objective culture medium to be used in making a tissue culture of lavender cells using Murashige-and-Skoog standard medium, incorporated with 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) as the essential plant growth regulatory substance in incubating lavender cells in the dark. The culture medium composition for cell proliferation to be applied is effective when the relative molar concentration ratio of the nitrogen in the form of ammonia to that in the form of nitric acid is 0.11-0.40 and the total amount of both the nitrogens is 40-72.5mM. And the culture medium composition for pigment production is effective when the total amount of both the nitrogens is <=40mM irrespective of the relative molar concentration ratio of the nitrogen in the form of ammonia to that in the form of nitric acid. For the concentration of the 2,4-D, the present culture medium is effective at ca.10<-7>-10<-5>mol/l.</p> |
