The artificial iris lens has the same size and colour with the matural eye iris. The manufacturing method comprises (i) photographing the corresponding iris of a lens wearer and separating the photographic membrane (4) from the photographic paper, (ii) bonding the photographic membrane to a contact lens (6) having a thinner thickness than conventional lenses, (iii) polymerizing the contact lens, to which the photographic membrane is attached, with 2-HEMA (hydroxy ethyl methacrylate) and (iv) processing the polymerized lens layer (8) into the same thickness as that of the base contact lens (4).
