PURPOSE:To make the mode switching step width relatively small by switching the shift mode in a high-speed region to the shift mode in a low-speed region when the target system ratio including auxiliary transmissions is the preset times or above the actual system ratio. CONSTITUTION:The control device 122 of a continuously variable transmission 125 having auxiliary transmissions 3, 5 switches the shift mode in a high-speed region to the shift mode in a low-speed region for the shift-down from the high-speed region when the actual system ratio is in the region where the shift mode in the high-speed region can be switched to the shift mode in the low- speed region and the actual system ratio in the high-speed region is a preset value or above and the target system ratio is the preset times or above the actual system ratio. The mode switching step width is made relatively small, and shock is mitigated. The kick-down feeling in the low vehicle speed region is improved, and the blowup of an engine can be prevented. |
