<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the taking-out of a paper sheet from a paper discharge tray by projecting the paper discharge tray to the downstream side by the first driving means according to the paper size and projecting the paper discharge tray which is projected to the max. extent after copying, in the perpendicular direction by the second driving means. CONSTITUTION:A paper discharge device is equipped with the first driving means 271 for moving a paper discharge tray 23 in reciprocation for the paper transport direction and the second driving means which moves the paper discharge tray 23 in reciprocation in the direction crossing at right angles to the paper transport direction and the paper size of the paper discharge tray 23 at an accommodation position is detected by a detection sensor, and the data is inputted into the first and second driving mechanisms. Accordingly, the second discharged paper tray 232 is projection-shifted to the downstream side in the transport direction by the quantity corresponding to the paper size, and the second paper discharge tray 232 is projection-sifted by a prescribed quantity in the direction orthogonal with the second tray 232. After the completion of copying, the first driving mechanism 271 is operated to project the paper discharge tray 23 to the largest projection position, and then the second paper discharge tray 232 is shifted to the side before the copying machine, and the taking-out of the paper is facilitated. Then, the second paper discharge tray 232 is returned to an accommodation position and put into stand-by for the next copying.</p> |
