METHOD FOR CONSOLIDATION OF THE GROUND

A method for consolidation of the ground involves providing an elastic wave reflecting screen (3) made of an aerated layer (4) of the ground and extending to the depth of consolidation of the ground, and subjecting the latter to a dynamic influence at a distance from the screen (3), which is more than one and less than or equal to two radii of effective dynamic influence of the elastic wave source. The aeration of the ground is effected by pumping the air from the given consolidation depth by means of an instrument (5) while withdrawing the latter from the ground.
