The overcurrent protective circuit of the invention has such a constitution that a relation: V2/V1 < V3/V2 holds, wherein V1 is a voltage applied to a positive-temperature-coefficient resistor under a steady current condition, V2 is a voltage applied to said resistor under a maximum current condition, and V3 is a voltage applied to said resistor under a balanced current condition. With the balanced current smaller than the steady current, generation of heat by the load is effectively suppressed, and safety of the circuit is raised. |
