<p>The drier comprises, in the following order and on a common axis inside a cylindrical enclosure (1), a fan (15) for maintaining the closed-circuit circulation of a flow of pressurized steam superheated at a set temperature, an exchanger/superheater (16) for heating the steam up to the set temperature, a rotatable drum conveyor (4) for advancing the material to be dried in a circulating bed in an axial portion of the flow of steam, and a device (11) for separating the steam to be recycled from the dried material which exits the conveyor at (3). The drier can be used for dehydrating agricultural produce such as beetroot pulp or forage.</p> |
