The sliding vane closure for the transfer of bulk material into a pneumatic conveying system includes an inlet (2) and an outlet duct (3), between which the closure rotor (5) is located. The inside end of an inlet chute is providd with an axially mounted blade edge (7), which acts as a scraper blade on the outside edge of the rotor blades, as they move past the inlet chute. A secondary, V-shaped scraper insert (9) is located in the centre of the primary scraper edge. -
