PURPOSE:To obtain a developer restrained from toner scattering, good in potential rising at the time of electric charging, not deteriorated in developing characteristics, and small in fog and spilling of the toner by incorporating a magnetic powder in both particles of the toner and a carrier each in an specified proportion to them. CONSTITUTION:This developer comprises at least the carrier particles and the toner particles both containing the magnetic powder. The carrier particles contains at least the magnetic particles dispersed into a binder resin, and the toner contains at least the magnetic powder and a colorant dispersed into a binder resin. A ratio of the content (a) of the magnetic powder in the 100 pts.wt. of the binder resin of the carrier particles to the content (b) of the magnetic powder in the 100 pts.wt. of the binder resin of the toner particles (a/b) is regulated to 30 - 1800, thus permitting the obtained toner to be restrained from toner scattering even at the time of high-speed development, good in potential rising at the time of charging, not deteriorated in development characteristics, and small in fog and toner spilling. |
