The tray according to the invention is intended for packaging fragile ovoid or long objects. It is obtained from a blank made of cardboard or any other suitable material, cut out and grooved. This tray is constituted by a bottom (1) from which extend two parallel box units (2) whose internal faces (4), facing each other, comprise means (5) for receiving and wedging the ends of at least one product. These means (5) may consist of orifices (15) prolonged by radial cuts (16). The tray furthermore comprises means of maintaining its shape. These means may consist of cross-piece tabs (19) intended to be pushed into the box units (2) in order to maintain the spacing between their internal (4) and external (3) faces. <IMAGE>
