PURPOSE:To obtain the composition capable of radiating far IR ray with high emissivity in the range from a relatively low-temp. zone to a high-temp. region by incorporating 2FeO.SiO2 and Fe3O4 into the composition as its essential components. CONSTITUTION:2FeO.SiO2 and Fe3O4 are incorporated as the essential components to obtain the composition for a far IR ray radiator. The composition is able to radiate for IR ray almost on average in the total range of 2-25mu wavelength with the emissivity (>=90%) close to that of the black body at the low temp. of 40 deg.C or at 200 deg.C. Accordingly, more heat energy can be radiated with a small area as compared with other far IR ray radiating materials, the surface temp. necessary to radiate the same energy can be lowered with the same area. Furthermore, since the emissivity is equal to the absorptivity, heat energy is efficiently absorbed from a non-contact heat source or emitted, and the composition is excellent as a heating medium. When the composition is formed into a sheet, a flexible IR ray radiator high in mechanical strength is obtained. |
