Sealing element for cables in protective tubing - has elastomer plug with breakout section to suit different tube sizes

An electrical cable (2) is located in a larger diameter protective tube (1) and passes through a sealing assembly formed from a number of parts (3-8). A circular section elastomer element (3) forms a chamber that can be filled with a sealing compount. This has side walls with break-out sections (3e) to allow different size cables to be used. The element fits in a ring (4) in the tube and discs (6) are self retaining on the end surfaces. A key element (5) is inserted axially to retain the complete assembly. USE/ADVANTAGE - Provides water and gas tight seal for cables.
