PURPOSE:To efficiently remove the volatile material as impurities in a low viscosity fluid material with good heat-exchange efficiency and in a short time by using a plate-fin heat exchanger high in heat transfer density. CONSTITUTION:The plate-fin heat exchanger 3 having the feed pipe 7 and discharge pipe 8 for a heating medium H is provided in a drum main body 1 capable of being depressurized or pressurized. A low-viscosity fluid F is supplied to the heat exchanger H, heated therein, accumulated at the lower part of the main body 1 to form a liq. surface W and discharged from a discharge nozzle 19 at the lower part. Consequently, the volatile material B as impurities contained in the fluid F is removed from a discharge port 20 with high heat- exchange efficiency and in a short time.
