PURPOSE: To block a traveling wheel with simple structure by guiding an engagement element to allow linear movement relating to the traveling wheel, in a caster to transmit linear setting movement of a setting element to an engagement element via a wedge mechanism and to engage the engagement element with the traveling wheel to stop traveling. CONSTITUTION: A traveling roller 1 of a twin roller has an attaching pin 2 supported to allow turning movement relating to a supporting element 3 by a ball bearing 4, and traveling wheels 5, 6 are supported to the supporting element 3 freely to rotate. A setting element 7 is arranged in the attaching pin 2 to be movable between its releasing position and its turning locking position, the element 7 cooperates with an engagement element 9 in the turning locking position via a wedge mechanism 10, and the element 9 is slided to a linear direction orthogonal to the setting element 7 against a spring 13 via engagement of wedge faces 11, 12. An engagement face 14 of the engagement element 9 is engaged with inner faces 15 of the traveling wheel 5, 6 by this manner to block rotation of the wheel 5, 6. |
