PURPOSE:To remove burrs easily without crushing a rough sphere by performing its temporary burning prior to regular procedures, and deburring the temporarily burned ceramics sphere by means of vibrating barrel polishing. CONSTITUTION:A spherical body 1 immediately after its forming is made up into a rough sphere 4 with a mold, and a parting line 2 produced by the mold and burrs being caused in a feed port 3 at the time of forming are removed by a vibrating barrel polishing method using triangular media as the abradant. With these burrs removed, the rough sphere 4 is made possible for yet smoother rolling and it is inserted into a circular hole 8 of a rough sphere guider 9 housing each individual rough sphere 4 in space between both upper and lower plates 5 and 6 for protection's sake. Then, the guider 9 is rotated or revolved by a relative speed difference between these upper and lower plates 5 and 6, centering on a turning shaft of a lapping machine, thus this rough sphere 4 is polished into a fine sphere. |
