PURPOSE:To obtain an IL-6 producing inducer useful for improving cytopenia in chemotherapy of cancer, alleviating side effects such as exothermic properties, containing IL-1alpha derivative and IL-1beta derivative having modified amino acid sequence. CONSTITUTION:An IL-6 producing inducer comprising an IL-1 alpha derivative having an amino acid sequence shown by the formula IL-1 alpha wherein one modification of (i) at least one of Asn at the 36-position and Cys at the 141-position is deficient or replaced with another amino acid residue, (ii) Arg at the 16-position is deficient or replaced, (iii) an amino acid sequence ranging from Ser at the 1-position to Phe at the 14-position is deficient and (iv) an amino acid sequence from Ser at the 1-position to Met at the 15-position is deficient is carried out and an IL-1 beta derivative having an amino acid sequence shown by the formula IL-1beta in which modification wherein an amino acid sequence from Ala at the 1-position to Ths at the 9-position or from Lys at the 103-position to Ser at the 153-position or at least one amino acid residue is deficient is carried out. |
