PURPOSE:To analyze the position where abnormality occurs and to search original stored data by preventing the read from being terminated without partially reading out stored data in the case of the occurrence of abnormality at the time of read of stored data. CONSTITUTION:If abnormality occurs in a read-out stored data when stored data of a designated record is read out from a data memory 21 of an IC card 12 and is transmitted to a card reader/writer 11, the value of a counter 24 is changed to the value based on the total storage capacity of all words where stored data is stored, and an error flag is set. Since the read volume is controlled by the changed value of the counter 24 hereafter, all data in all words can be read out. The past abnormality occurrence condition is confirmed by the error flag at the time of second and following occurrence of abnormality, and the value of the counter 24 is not changed if it is recognized that abnormality occured before then. |
