The invention relates to an optical target fitted with a ferrule, and interface for an optical cable intended to transmit intense light fluxes. The end of the optical fibre is intended to be mechanically held in a mechanical support. It is generally cemented (adhesively bonded) in a ferrule which can be fixed in the adjustment mechanism. A mechanical interface part is possibly placed between the ferrule of the optical cable and the adjustment mechanism. According to the invention, one of the ends of the optical cable includes a ferrule (2) terminated by one end. The optical fibre (1) is connected to the ferrule (2) via a cementing (adhesive bonding) zone, and the end of the ferrule (2) includes a diaphragm (7) which has an aperture (8) and an opaque surface (9), the opaque surface (9) covering the cementing zone. <IMAGE>
