PURPOSE:To continuously load fibers on a belt in the heat-treatment of a precursor fiber loaded on a conveyor belt and transferred through a heat-treatment furnace by moving a feeding apparatus in the moving direction of the belt during the interruption of the supply of the fiber of the belt. CONSTITUTION:A precursor fiber 2 produced by the melt-spinning of a fiber- forming substance is supplied to and loaded on a conveyor belt 4 and transferred through a heat-treatment furnace 14 to effect the heat-treatment. In the above process, the feeding apparatus 8 is moved in the moving direction of the belt during the interruption of the supply of the fiber in the case of e.g. cleaning the surface of the spinning nozzle and, at the start of supply, the supply and load of the fiber are performed in a state to form a continuously loaded fiber on the belt. The supply and load of the fiber can continuously be performed without stopping the belt or forming a space on the belt and uniform heat- treatment is carried out without causing quality troubles. |
