The invention relates to a device for producing energy by making use of natural currents of air, sometimes very violent, which exist in some subterranean cavities. It consists of a subterranean network exhibiting at least two inlets (1) and (2) located at different altitudes. This network may either be natural (grotto, underground cave), or artificial (tunnel), or even a combination of both. The temperature difference between the air inside the network and the outside air generates a difference in density (mass per unit volume). A movement of air is thus created which can be used with the aid of a wind machine (3). This device is particularly intended for producing electric energy.
