CARBON FIBER REINFORCED CARBON COMPOSITE MATERIAL

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a carbon fiber reinforced carbon composite material having high strength and useful as an aeronautical or space material by forming a laminate having a specified thickness and consisting of bundles of split carbon fibers and a carbon matrix. CONSTITUTION:Layers of unidirectional prepreg consisting of starting material for a carbon matrix such as phenol resin, vinyl chloride resin or pitch and a bundle of split carbon fibers are laminated so that the thickness of the thickest part of each of the layers is regulated to <=200mum and the resulting laminate is heated, molded and carbonized or further graphitized to obtain a carbon fiber reinforced carbon composite material.
