A cold cabinet of the type used in supermarkets for displaying foodstuffs is provided with a refrigeration system which includes a condenser and evaporator. Any water produced by condensation on the external surface of the evaporator is drained into a specially shaped trough. This trough (1) is installed with the surface (4) horizontal. The water flows into the space (F1) and then surmounts several barriers (B1) etc., to reach the end space (Fn).
