Shutter valves for gas in adjacent branched pipes - has each shutter controlled by single drive, opening one shutter while closing other and vice=versa

The shutter valves (2) are used to shut off or regulate gases in each of two adjacent, branched, large cross section pipes (3,4). Both shutter driveshafts (5,6) about which the shutters pivot, are connected to a common drive (7). The drive is arranged to open one shutter whilst shutting the other via a universal jointed shaft (8) and vice versa. ADVANTAGE - Simple, less costly method of controlling two pipe shutters.
