PURPOSE:To suitably realize the coating of a particulate material with a liquid by passing an air stream containing the particulate material in a dispersed state through a cylindrical body whose inner wall surface is wetted with a liquid to be applied and bringing the particulate material into contact with the coating liquid to dry the coated one. CONSTITUTION:In a dryer 5 having an internal space, a particulate material having a liquid bonded to the surface thereof is dried while suspended by an air steam. In the particulate material charging apparatus 2 connected to the upper part of the dryer 5, the air stream containing the particulate material in a dispersed state is charged in the above-mentioned space through a cylindrical passage. Further, the inner wall of the cylindrical passage of the apparatus 2 is wetted with a coating liquid by a liquid supply means 16. That is, the air stream containing the particulate material in a dispersed state is passed through the cylindrical passage whose inner surface is wetted with the coating liquid to bring the particulate material into contact with the coating liquid and, thereafter, the particulate material having the coating liquid bonded to the surface thereof is dried. As a result, the coating of the sufficiently dispersed particulate material with a desired liquid can be suitably realized. |
