摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To surely stack paper sheets having sizes in a wide range into a paper discharge tray without generating any paper discharge trouble and the dispersion of the stack position by allowing each sensor to detect the prescribed height of a tray at the same time when the top edges of a plurality of detection levers make contact with the paper placing surface of a paper discharge tray. CONSTITUTION:When the staple bundlings consisting of paper sheets having a large size are stacked, the longer and shorter detecting levers 43 and 44 are used, and when any paper sheet having a larger size is discharged, the longer detection lever 44 is also turned in the C direction, together with the shorter detection lever 43 for the small size. Accordingly, the detection parts of the sensors 46 and 47 are set into the turned-OFF state from the turned-ON state through light shielding by the first and second light shielding pieces 48 and 52. Then, a control part drives a tray raising/lowering device 45 by the signals of sensors, and a paper discharge tray 4 is lowered, and when the sensors 46 and 47 are turned ON again, the lowering of the tray 4 is suspended. Accordingly, even in the case of the staple bundling for the paper sheets having a large size, the top edges Pa of the paper sheets are set to the set height Hb2 of the top edge 44a of the lever, and generation of such a trouble can be prevent that a newly discharged paper sheet is given a large frictional resistance from the stacked paper sheets so that any poor paper sheet discharge may not take place.</p>
